Information for parents
One of our objectives is to bring about tangible improvements in the education and training opportunities available to girls and women from families with a migrant background.
Numerous studies have repeatedly shown that our target group – girls and young women from migrant backgrounds, particularly those from non-academic families – do not have the same educational opportunities as other young people in comparable circumstances. That is why this work is particularly close to our hearts. We aim to eliminate educational disadvantage for schoolgirls and give them the motivation and opportunity not only to achieve good school-leaving qualifications, but also to develop holistically.
By combining academic support, assistance with German language skills, career guidance and future planning, learning in a trusting atmosphere, and the involvement of parents and their immediate social circle, we aim to improve the educational opportunities for girls and young women. Here, we motivate and guide the girls, supporting them in setting the course for a self-determined future.
We offer girls and young women the space they need to:
- be able to step outside the role expectations assigned to them and expected of them,
- receive support in their education and vocational training,
- be able to seek advice on intimate and private matters in a trusting environment.
